- Egoistic
- Altruistic
- Fatalistic

- The social structure of the society may strain upon individuals to commit crime.
- Others: Albert K. Cohen, Richard Cloward, Lloyd Ohlin, Neil Smelser, Robert Agnew, Steven Messner, Richard Rosenfeld, etc.

- vs. the mean to achieve the goals
