+개인이나 작은 단위를 보고 큰 단위를 판단하는 것을 말한다. 개인을 보고 전체화 하는 것을 흔히 스테레오타이핑이라고 하는데, 이를 말한다. 미국선생님이 자신의 수업에서 인도학생이 수학을 잘하는 것을 보고, 모든 인도학생이 수학을 잘할 것이라고 판단하는 것이 이에 해당하겠다. Individual fallacy라고도 한다.
